Fabricating hinges and clasps are fundamental skills for jewelers. During this workshop you will master the process of creating a bracelet with two or three hinges using tubing and rod and you’ll learn to make a slide clasp. These can be used in many other applications in addition to bracelets. There will be plenty of opportunity to customize your piece depending on the materials, size and other skills you bring to the your project.

Meet Nick Barnes
Nick hails from Yorkshire, England and moved to the US in 1995. He is known for his work in fold forming, acrylic carving, and commission work. He is an instructor with the Art League in Alexandria, VA, and his work has been collected and exhibited locally and internationally.
